Southwestern Energy

Situation

Southwestern Energy needed to implement a new ERP across departments and to replace their existing system. They engaged Value Global to implement Enterprise Upstream, as well as integrate it with TEL. VG also architected more robust reporting and solutions for management and operations, while scaling team size and utilizing an onsite/remote delivery model according to project requirements, allowing our team to perform the work at 30% of the cost of a traditional delivery model.

Results

The implementation in Joint Venture Accounting (Finance), Production Management, Revenue/Settlement, and Partner Balancing (Operations) departments resulted in huge cost savings throughout the company.  Both TEL and EBS Integrations and Reporting were SLA compliant and on budget. VG continues to provide production support through global delivery model.

A Major Upstream Oil Company

Client Challenge

The Client is one of the industry’s largest E&P companies with operations onshore, offshore, and internationally. The scale of operations in varied geographies and departments has led to fragmented systems and information silos shared throughout the organization. Value Global provided onsite resources to assist in the effort to consolidate multiple versions of Oracle eBusiness Suite, as well as help Client upgrade their Revenue and Joint Venture Accounting application. VG also assisted in implementing Multi Org and Multi Currency to incorporate international operations.

Noble Energy

Client Challenge

Noble Energy engaged our services to build a web-based interface to Oracle E-business suite to interface GL Forms with the Filenet web service. This custom interface was built to store files and get back the URL of these files to Oracle forms. To achieve Noble’s goals, we incorporated interfacing different software elements, implementing customizations and extensions for EAM, and upgrading Oracle to Release 12.

Results

The company saved $3.2 million in operational cost by successfully integrating  Oracle GL to FileNet. Noble is now looking to expand this support to additional modules. We have supported the functionality of all interfaces, including Oracle R12.

Occidental Petroleum

Client Challenge

Occidental Petroleum, decided to spin-off its California assets into a separate, independent corporation in order to better focus on core assets and reduce overall cost. We were tasked with the identification, migration and process assimilation and adoption of complex, high-volume data.

Results

Our team was able to quickly and efficiently migrate Enterprise Upstream Base, Joint Venture Account, Revenue/Settlement, and Regulatory applications to allow them to operate as a publicly traded entity under-time and at 30% of the projected cost of a traditional delivery model. California Resources Corporation (CRC) went live on 1/12/2015 and was able to successfully close its accounting for the month of Dec, Jan 2015, and prepare for all future operations. In addition, CRC was able to import all historical data from Oxy to ensure the accommodation of prior period adjustments.
